Refund policy

CEREMONIAL CACAO - NORMAL VARIANCE IN APPEARANCE & HOW TO STORE:

  • Our ceremonial cacao products are hand-made with ZERO chemicals at any point in the production process from seed to cup. For this reason, no two blocks of cacao will look the same & there may be very small variations in weight. You can expect to see variations in the appearance of cacao blocks for a few reasons: due to climate & weather variations at the time of planting, harvesting & production in Guatemala; because no chemical stabilizers are used to keep the color the same (like they do with chocolate); and due to cacao “bloom” - the appearance of white spots of cacao from the fat content. Rest assured that all of these visual variaties are completely normal.
  • When stored properly - somewhere cool & dry, cacao should last for many years. We do not recommend storing cacao in a refrigerator or freezer, as this can alter the product & may impact the flavor. For leftover prepared cacao, store in a well-sealed glass container for a few days or offer back to the earth…

 

FOOD ITEM RETURNS:

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, you can contact us at info@rakaskakaw.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: Sandnäsintie 44, 21650 Lillandet FINLAND  

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you an invoice for the return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

CANCELLATIONS FOR COMMUNITY & PRIVATE EVENTS:

  • In order to cover administrative costs, all deposits are nonrefundable. 

  • Final payment of the balance for participation can be made within 48 hours of the event, unless otherwise agreed upon. 

  • For community circles, we require a minimum of 5 registered participants. 

  • If you need to cancel your reservation, we ask that you let us know at least 48 hours before the scheduled circle. 

  • If you have to cancel within 48 hours due to illness, we operate on trust & honesty in these cases & most often we will offer an exchange or refund.

**In the case that we cancel or reschedule an event, we will always offer an exchange or full refund. Please email us to request a refund for any deposits & payments.

 

PHYSICAL PRODUCT EXCHANGES, RETURNS & REFUNDS:

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

We do not accept returns on sale items and do not refund shipping fees.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
